Swirl Boutique X CA Innocence Project and The Real Housewives of Orange County
On July 18th Swirl Boutique partnered with the CA-INNOCENCE Project and Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson for an afternoon filled with shipping, great bites, wellness, and most of all, PHILANTHROPY! This event was held at Swil Boutiques’ gorgeous Carlsbad, California location and gave 20% of all proceeds made to the CA INNOCENCE Project, raising $1,000 for the non-profit organization.
Emily Simpson, a proud board member of the CIP, organized and collaborated with Swirl Boutique Owner, Lisa Landers, to create a day that would bring awareness to CIP. Members from the organization and family members of the since exonerated wrongfully convicted were also in attendance. In addition, local businesses took part in this event by holding pop-ups featuring Set and Stones, Get Supr, Holistic Cocktails, Blue Oak Charcuterie, and ALCHEMĒ Health.
The CA INNOCENCE Project is dedicated to freeing the innocent, training law students, and changing laws and policies in California. The Law school clinic was founded at California Western School Of Law in San Diego, CA, and has been active since 1999. The Innocence Project has freed individuals from wrongful convictions, changed multiple laws and policies within California, and trained numerous law students to become the attorneys that the justice system needs today.
It was so amazing to have all of our Swirl family and friends, as well as members and supporters of the CA Innocence Project, come together! If you are interested in shopping any of the items you see some of our Swirl Girls wearing, head over to our New Arrivals tab on our Website!
